URGENT: Check SQL backup script to ensure 'vmail' database is there

Dear all,

During upgrading process, we found SQL backup script (/var/vmail/backup/backup_mysql.sh, /var/vmail/backup/backup_pgsql.sh) set up by iRedMail-0.8.4 and earlier versions don't backup "vmail" database which stores all mail accounts. so please check this script on your iRedMail server, make sure you have "vmail" database listed in variable 'DATABASES'.

export DATABASES='... vmail ...'

So sorry about this bug, please fix it immediately.

Affected iRedMail versions and backends

This bug exists in iRedMail-0.8.4 and earlier versions, both MySQL and PostgreSQL backends.

NOTE: This bug was fixed in iRedMail-0.8.5 which released on July 15.

Amavis html signature problem

Hello,

I want to integrate corporate signatures in my outgoing mails using Amavis.

I used this topic to help me.

Content of /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user :

$altermime = '/usr/bin/altermime';
@altermime_args_disclaimer = qw( --verbose
                                 --disclaimer=/etc/postfix/disclaimer/disclaimer.txt
                                 --disclaimer-html=/etc/postfix/disclaimer/disclaimer.html );
$defang_maps_by_ccat{+CC_CATCHALL} = [ 'disclaimer' ];

and

$policy_bank{'MYNETS'} = {   # mail originating from @mynetworks
  originating => 1, # is true in MYNETS by default, but let's make it explicit
  os_fingerprint_method => undef,  # don't query p0f for internal clients
  allow_disclaimers => 1,  # enables disclaimer insertion if available
};

In roundcube, when I set "Always write emails in text format", the *txt file is well integrated.
In roundcube, when I set "Always write emails in HTML format" (what I need), the file is badly integrated.

In HTML format, amavis integrates the TXT file, and the HTML file, but the mail seems to be in TXT format.

Content of disclaimer.txt :

TXT Disclaimer

Content of disclaimer.html :

<p>HTML Disclaimer</p>

Resulting mail when using text format email :

Body of Test TXT mail.

Resulting mail when using html format email :

As you can see, the two disclaimers are added, and the result is "freaky"...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Zhang,

So after the mail upgrade, we were hoping this issue would have been resolved, however, it still persists.

Scenario: We have a domain admin who is administering 50+ domains. Whenever he attempts to edit or add anything, he is returned with that error while also displaying, Ex. 8 more aliases are available to be created. Others have less than him and are unaffected by that error.
It also does not have any effect on Global Admins.

Thanks for you patience in answering.

Hi~everyone.
I just stupidly found that the domain name should be put in @local_domain_maps (/usr/local/etc/amavisd.conf)
Then the mail subject would be rewritten. But I have a question is "Can it be inserted automatically after I create a new domain in iRedAdmin???"

Hello,

I have to make a mailing list (or diffusion list). In this mailing diffusion, I have 2 addresses owned by my domain (so, owned by my mail server) and 2 addresses owned by another domain.

To do it, I used the "forward" option in iredadmin(pro). I set the 4 addresses, one each line in the box.

All emails owned by my domain are successfully sended, but the two other mails are each time blocked (see the error log).

What must I do to resolve this problem ?

I add that email to google, yahoo mail or other domains don't work too.

Thanks

Nicolas

Curently dovecot.conf is configure with thi, and users are using port 995 in outlook and thunderbird to retrieve emails.
disable_plaintext_auth=yes
ssl=yes

However, users in outlook (everytime outlook is started) they receive a certificate error (Server Security not Verified) and need to click Yes to continue using outlook. I would like to remove this message by allowing insecure POP3 and connect them via port 110.
If I do this in the dovecot.conf, will users connecting via port 995 (secure POP3) in Thunderbird still be able to get their emails?

When I try to delete an internal member of maillist returns "Error: 303 See Other". But It is deleted from maillist. When I am trying to delete an external member of maillist, It also returns the same error, but mail is not deleted from maillist. How can I delete external members? Thanks.

Edit : When I try to add a new external mail to maillist, returns "Error: cannot concatenate 'str' and 'dict' objects" error. I also try add and delete from phpldapadmin but following error is appeared.

"Could not perform ldap_modify operation.

I installed iRedMail on a brand new virtual server last night but it spends more time down (totally inaccessible) than it does up and I don't know why. I installed exactly how it asked me to and I've set up all the relevant DNS to make it my mail server (MX records, SPF and pointing my mail.domain.tld at the server)

I can ping the address and dig it and everything looks okay and correct.

I've turned debugging on but there doesn't appear to be any "errors" just a long record of all the SQL queries. Are there any known issues with being able to access and any known fixes? I don't want to have to go back to OpenPanel *shudder*

It's very sporadic, sometimes it's up but most of the time it's down, can anyone help?
